Toréa Tairio's pétanque career runs through the Gironde, where she plays for La Boule Moulietsoise. Her first notable results on record both came in 2023. The host nation's two triplettes finished 11th and 14th after the group phase and both advanced through the consolation bracket to the round of 16, but neither reached the semi-finals, a result that fell short of the home crowd's hopes.

2026: A Breakthrough Season

Tairio's 2026 season opened with a title. On 7-8 March, at the same Boulodrome du Douaisis that had hosted the World Championship five months earlier, she won the Passion Pétanque Française (PPF) Grande Finale - the season-ending championship of France's elite national ranking circuit - in women's triplette, partnering Darodes and Peyré. Their team came from behind, trailing 6-2 and then 8-5, to beat Cindy Peyrot, Anna Maillard and Sandrine Poinsot 13-11 in a final between two all-national-team squads.

Tairio and Darodes carried that form into the regular French Championship structure, winning the Gironde departmental women's doublette title on 25 May to qualify for the French Women's Doublette Championship at Bergerac on 25-26 July. A separate French Triplette Championship campaign that June, partnering Mikaëlle Corrège and Nelly Berger at Douai, ended in the playoff round.

The season's high point came in August, at the 2026 Mediterranean Games in Taranto, Italy. Partnering Nelly Peyré - fresh off her own precision-shooting silver medal - Tairio won the women's doublette gold medal, beating Spain's Célia Abril Cruzado and Alba Valiente Quereda 13-9 in the final. It was the biggest title of her career, and the second major trophy she and Peyré had shared in a single season after their PPF triplette win in March.
