How pétanque scoring works
In pétanque, only one team scores per end (mène). After all boules are thrown, the team with the boule closest to the jack (cochonnet) wins the end and scores one point for each of its boules that is closer than the opponent’s best boule.
- Only the winning team of each end scores - between 1 and 6 points.
- The first team to reach 13 points wins the game.
- Play singles (3 boules each), doubles or triples (2 boules each).
