2026 French Pétanque National Championships: Full Results

France's summer 2026 pétanque calendar produced its usual mix of dynasties extended and long-awaited breakthroughs. The Fédération Française de Pétanque et de Jeu Provençal (FFPJP) spread its national championships (Championnats de France) across four host towns between June and July, crowning champions in triplette, mixed doubles, mixed triplette, and tête-à-tête. Here is the full rundown.

Triplette: Lacroix, Doerr and Matraglia Defend the Crown

At the Boulodrome du Douaisis in Sin-le-Noble (Nord), 20-21 June 2026, Henri Lacroix, Ligan Doerr and Laurent Matraglia - representing Boule Fleurie Crauroise of La Crau (Var) - successfully defended their title from 2025, seeing off 511 entered triplettes over the weekend. In the final, they raced into an early 11-0 lead against the Vaulx-en-Velin trio of Romain Fournié, Baldwin Magny and Kévin Prud'homme, who mounted a late fightback to 11-4 before the champions closed out the match.

In the same weekend at Sin-le-Noble, Mouna Béji, Nadège Baussian-Protat and Ludivine D'Isidoro (CD69 Rhône) won the women's triplette title.

Mixed Doubles: Brehamet and Hut Spring a Surprise at Ajaccio

The doublette mixte championship, held in Ajaccio, Corsica, on 27-28 June 2026, produced one of the summer's biggest upsets. With most of the pre-tournament favorites eliminated early, Andréa Brehamet and Andssy Hut, both in their early twenties and representing Île-de-France, beat Aurélie Palais and Christophe Trembleau 13-11 in an all-outsider final to claim their first French title.

Mixed Triplette: Rocher Completes His Collection at Nice

At Nice (Alpes-Maritimes) on 18-19 July 2026, Dylan Rocher teamed up with fellow FIP Fréjus star Diego Rizzi and Catherine Jeanroy to win the triplette mixte title, beating Michel Loy, Yohan Cousin and Clarys Dumesnil 13-5 in the final.

The victory was especially significant for Rocher: mixed triplette was the one French national title still missing from an already-stacked career. Tête-à-Tête: Sarrio Finally Breaks Through at Bergerac

The men's individual (tête-à-tête) championship, part of a Bergerac double-header on 25-26 July 2026, delivered the tournament's most emotional storyline. Christophe Sarrio, from the Rhône club of Bron, beat Sébastien Batista 13-8 in the final to win his first French tête-à-tête title.

Sarrio is no stranger to the podium: he was part of the French pair that won the World Championship doublette title in Cotonou, Benin, in 2023, partnering Dylan Rocher. But tête-à-tête gold had repeatedly eluded him at national level, with lost finals dating back to 2008 (triplette and individual) and again in 2011 and 2016 (doubles). Bergerac finally delivered the individual crown, closing out a run of four lost finals stretching nearly two decades.

Women's Doubles: Bandiera and Peyré Complete a Fréjus Double

Bergerac also hosted the doublette féminin championship over the same 25-26 July weekend, drawing 128 qualified teams. Audrey Bandiera and Nelly Peyré, representing FIP Fréjus (Var), beat Nadège Baussian-Protat and Mouna Béji - the defending champions, fresh off their women's triplette win at Sin-le-Noble the previous month - 13-8 in the final, after edging past Anna Maillard and Cindy Peyrot 13-12 in the semi-final. It was the fifth French title for both Bandiera and Peyré.
